NEW MINI SEVERNS

The Club was started in 2003 by a group of like minded new MINI owners. The first meet was in March 2004 and the club has gone from strength to strength and now has around 200 members. We have almost monthly runs and pub meets which keep the spirit of the club thriving. In essence, we cover from Taunton to Worcester, Swansea to Swindon and everywhere in between.

Not content with our own area, we've visited many places, and not just in the UK. There have been trips to France and intercontinental tours of Europe. In all, a fun and friendly club who are not afraid to try something new - in fact, we thrive on it. So why not visit the website and forum to see for yourself what you're missing.

SIX-EX MOC

Six Ex MOC have been expertly judging our Show and Shine for over 10 years now. They continue as enthusiastically and professionally as ever with what is always a very difficult job.

We'd like to offer our thanks and appreciation to Richard Bolwell, who has recently retired as Secretary of Six-Ex after many years. As chairman, he has provided an invaluable contribution to the club, all its members and activities, and to us at Bristol Miniday.

A bit of Club History

The club was formed in August 1995 following a response to an appeal in the MiniWorld magazine. Eight members attended that first meeting. Most of the founder members are still active within the club. We are a friendly, approachable bunch who have great fun.
So, iIf you would like to join this happy bunch please contact us via email or by telephoning 01225 810087 (Ask for
Chris ).
Alternatively come along to one of our club meetings, they are on the second and last Sundays of the month at the Royal Oak, High Street, Corsham, Wiltshire. Telephone 01249 713607.

Bristol Miniday 2010

Sunday 6th June

Washingpool Farm, Easter Compton, Bristol, BS35 5RE

Camping was back! This year's Bristol Miniday was set in a fantastic new location at Washing pool Farm. As the midday sun shone, Saturday afternoon saw traders and clubs eager to set up camp for a chilled out evening with a few beers together.
A fantastic Sunday morning set the scene as hundreds of minis both new and old flooded into the site. Avid Show ‘n’ Shine competitors lined up with polish in hand to impress the ever-professional judges and officials from Six ex mini club. Mini Severns took care of the later cars whilst the hotly contested club competitions commenced; with big prize money on offer this was to be great fun for everyone.
The trade arena provided a great mini-mix as always and some people hunted for their chosen parts whilst others browsed the show cars with an ice cream or admired the custom paint and parker jackets of Mod scooter display.
New for this year was an off road track where young Mini stock car drivers and grass track racers showed off the handling and performance of this fantastic marque. Those who preferred something more sedate could try their hand at Len’s driving skills. A light lunchtime shower cooled off the clubs ready for the afternoon.
Kids entered silly competitions for fun or did the treasure hunt whilst clubs continued battle with Ball and Spoon races, Spot the ball, Mini in matches and drinking games. A short Mini ICE demo concluded the Show ‘n’ Shine judging whilst a Girls and Boy’s penalty shootout eventually saw Somerset Mini Owners Club win the £200 first prize, closely followed by £100 for South Devon, £50 for Torbay and the small but totally dedicated Renegades club. Yeovil Mini mania walked off with £100 for best club stand, a tribute to their dedication.
The show concluded in fabulous sunshine as Six ex presented trophies to the Show ‘n Shine winners (click here to see who won what). A fantastic weekend was had by all and we hope to make this a camping party weekend for 2011 – See you then!
