Hello all you Mini fans from the Bristol Miniday!

2001 Show Report

It is the first time we have run the show from Woodhouse Park and, on the whole, we were very pleased with the new venue. An absolutely fantastic array of show cars arrived and the Show and Shine was the best attended, and of the best quality, we have seen to date in Bristol. The traders did a brisk trade with loads of special show offers - everyone it seems went home with plenty of goodies. An incredible number of Braves tried their hand (and their cars) at the totally hair-raising Driving Skills, which has to be the most demanding course I have ever seen (thanks Six-Ex). Remarkably, no-one needed towing out of the ditch nor the tender ministrations of St. Johns Ambulance who organised the timekeeping!

A special Thank You to the Clubs who made such an effort to enter into the spirit of the show theme of The Wild West. In fact, never before have we seen a more intrepid bunch of Competitors in our Club Competition! There were Cowboys, Cowgirls, Indians and Squaws galore. They shot guns, arrows, threw horseshoes, tied knots, hung around the Saloon, fed hay to their "Mini Cows and Horses". There were some absolutely brilliant Club displays - Well done to All.

It was a shame the rain came down at 3 o'clock - making prize giving a rather hurried affair and turning the exit into a bit of a Hill Start Competition (perhaps we ought to make it a regular feature [not]).

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to the SIX-EX MOC for their invaluable assistance on the day and help in making the transition to the new venue go so smoothly, and also to North Avon MOC for organising the very successful Bristol Cruise.

We had a great day - and hope you did too! See you next year.
