Clubs at Bristol Miniday 2003

You really all were fantastic. It was a hard won contest by Somerset MOC this year, who beat last years winners Swansea and took the top prize of £200. As you will see from the photos below, they were well and truly challenged. The funniest competition had to be "Eat those Gold Nuggets". We know there's loads of photos of that, but the expressions on their faces as they ploughed their way through five Crunchie bars was a delight - sounds easy doesn't it? but ask any of the contestants and they'll tell you otherwise (we really thought we'd have to bring the sick buckets out!).

Some amazing effort went into the Club stands and if there was an award simply for the best club stand, it would have gone to Swansea with their special effect Mini missile, complete with smoke. We particularly liked the transvestite Bond girl, and the Moonraker Bond and Bond girl were a sight to be seen as was Blowfeld.

Be quick off the mark next year if you want to join in the club competitions. It's on a first come, first serve basis, so as soon as you get your letters, book your club stand. We can really only manage eight in the competitions. The eight competitors will receive complimentary passes but, as usual all club stands are free.
