CLUB COMPETITIONS 2004

Congratulations MINIS UMLIMITED

We originally set out to have only 8 clubs in the competitions, but such was the interest (all places booked within 20 days) we ended up with 10.

These were: Minis Unlimited (1st), Jesters (2nd), Swansea (3rd). 5PORT (4th), Cardiff, Gloucester, , Minifinity, , Nimas, SMAC, and Somerset (last year's winners).

This year's theme of a Beach Party provided a whole host of wonderful games and trivia hugely enjoyed by participants and "voyeurs" both. Adrian managed to whip up a frenzy of activity in the main arena and every club was tested to the max.

Treasure hunting, sand castle building, eating (a real seaside treat of candyfloss this year), but the real test came in the beach volleyball and the star event of the day - limbo dancing - drawing a huge crowd who were completely overwhelmed by the gymnastic abilities of rubber men/woman. The Club stands were collectively the best we have ever witnessed. Such was the quality that next year's show will include a separate prize for the best club stand, an independent competition.

The overall winner was a very close run thing and a real photo finish with only 5 points separating the first five clubs and CONGRATULATIONS to Minis Unlimited with a fantastic 58 points; winning by a whisker. Well done to Minifinity who raised £77 for Macmillan with their Juice Bar.
